Exploring more Bath and the surrounding areas to the north and west. (the Cotswolds)

Yesterday Susan took us to Lower Slaughter, Stow-on-the-wold, Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Campden. quaint, quaint, quaint. Thatched roofs and 14th century villages.

Today we took a bus tour to Stonehenge, Avebury, Lacock ( Harry potter film location at the Abbey), Castle Combe (very old village).

Bath

Been in Bath (UK) two days now. First a visit with cousin Susan and met her kids, James and Catherine. David was out so we missed him. It was wonderful reconnecting with Susan after 30 something (mumble) years.

Susan is taking us for a drive in the Cotswolds tomorrow. Today we toured the town here, Roman baths, Bath Abbey, Victoria park. Stefanie found a playground in the park for Lydia, while Melanie and I went hunting for a geocache in the botanical gardens. (we found it too!)

Bath is a beautiful, peaceful place. If you ever go to England you must visit Bath.

Leaving London

We leave London for Bath this morning. None too soon as it’s getting a bit tense around here.  No matter we are having a great time.  Yesterday (Saturday) we visited the National Gallery and the Globe theater. We also wandered along the Thames for  wonderful river side walk.

The day before (Friday) we went back to the British Museum then off to King’s Cross where we found platform 9 3/4!.   Next we caught the train to Kew Gardens and spent the day taking way too many flower pictures.  Beautiful gardens.
